A unique seaside resort by the Ambatomilo lagoon on the south west coast of Madagascar, just 2 hours north of Toliara. A bright white sandy beach borders the lagoon with crystal clear turquoise waters.

We have designed Kokoa Sands to be a peaceful haven nestled between the Indian Ocean and the dry forest of southwest Madagascar.

Kokoa Sands, is a Guest House where we personally welcome our vahiny (visitors) in a relaxed and family atmosphere, with respect to local traditions.

A simple and cosy comfort with European standards and a choice of a villa with an incredible seaview (Lagoon view) or a traditional accommodation in a wooden Vezo bungalow with all comforts in the shade of the trees (Forest side).

At Kokoa Sands you decide whether you want a relaxing or an active stay with us.

Our resort offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as walking or jogging on the beach, swimming in the lagoon or meditation.

We also propose many water activities (water skiing, SUP, kayaking, Vezo canoeing, snorkelling on the reef, meeting the whales or visiting Fasika Be) and land activities (discovery of the Kokoa Park forest and its 200+ baobabs, visit to the fishermen’s village, kite flying, petanque).

Our Guest House is composed of :

“Lagoon View” Villa

Built on two floors with a stunning sea view.

It has 5 double rooms including :

A Master Suite and a double room on the ground floor,three double or triple rooms on the first floor a shower room, a large lounge and a private terrace on each floor.

You may book a complete floor for 5 to 8 people or the exclusive use of the villa with a maximum capacity of 13 people.

Our 3 traditional “Forest Side” bungalows

Three traditional Vezo bungalows, with all comfort, built in the shade of the trees with a large room of 16 m² can accommodate a family of up to 4 people

Each hut has a bathroom and a private shaded terrace

Perle, the landlady, and Haja, our Chef, consult with you every day to prepare dishes according to your tastes and wishes.

Fresh products and seafood are our leitmotiv but we know how to adapt our cuisine to your tastes and aspirations with a wide range of dishes.

European, Asian and Malagasy dishes will liven up your stay with a “Single dish” or “Full menu” formula for your lunches and dinners according to your appetite.

Our many shaded areas allow our guests to find their own little corner or to share moments of meal with other guests. We have to admit that the tables tend to get longer every day as the atmosphere grows. This also is the Kokoa Sands Touch!
