Accommodation:

The Draken-Zicht room comprises of a self-catering cottage with an open plan lounge/kitchen area with a flat-screen TV, full DSTV package and free Wi-Fi. The kitchen has all the appliances to make your life easier.  The property provides bed linen, clean towels, and cleaning service daily.

This cottage has 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin.  The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with Percale Linen, queen- sized beds and guest amenities.

There is an outdoor gas braai situated on the terrace for your use.

For added convenience, the property provides swimming towels and extra bed linen when needed.

Meals and Game Drives can be arranged on request at an additional cost.

The nearest airport is Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit, 67.6 km from the accommodation, and the property offers an airport shuttle service at an additional cost.

Things you need to know:

• The lodge has Wi-Fi.
• We only have gas geysers.
• When out and about make sure you apply sunscreen and when going excursions take a hat and your sunglasses.
• Our tap water is safe to drink.
• Please make sure that when leaving the property that gate closes behind you.
• The property is serviced free of charge daily, cleaning commence from 08:00am to 18:00pm, but no stress if you wish to sleep in as long as the doors are closed, the staff will respect your privacy.  Please leave used towels in the laundry hamper.  We do washing and ironing daily for an additional charge, just enquire with the staff.
• We usually have good cell phone reception on the property.
• There are copying and faxing facilities available at an extra charge.
• We do have severe thunderstorms from time to time in summer, it is always best to unplug all mobile devices and laptops.

The Olifants-Zitch room comprises of a self-catering cottage with an open plan lounge/kitchen area with a flat-screen TV, full DSTV package and free Wi-Fi. The kitchen has all the appliances to make your life easier.  The property provides bed linen, clean towels, and cleaning service daily.

This cottage has 2 bedrooms en-suite one with a king-sized bed and on with a queen-sized bed.  Both rooms are tastefully decorated with Percale Linen   and guest amenities, both bedrooms have their own on-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin with toiletries.  There is an outdoor gas braai situated on the terrace for your use.

Modjadji (which means Rain Queen) Estate Lodge is situated in Grietjie Game Reserve which forms part of Balule in the Greater Kruger Park.  This estate is situated high up on a hill with a stunning view of the Olifant’s (Elephant) River and Drakensberg mountains.

The Estate has a pool area, Lapa, gym, games room, braai facilities, laundry and beautiful entertainment section.  The accommodation is tastefully decorated with their own patio areas.

Grietjie Private Nature Reserve is in the northern section of the Balule Nature Reserve, 30 km’s south of Phalaborwa, Limpopo Province.

The reserve encompasses some 2 800ha including 6km of impressive river frontage on the perennial Olifants River. With the removal of the Kruger National Park boundary fence and subsequent influx of wildlife into the area, Grietjie has become one of the few Big 5 reserves, and is becoming a very popular destination for Tourists.

Balule Nature Reserve, and therefore Grietjie by incorporation, is within the Greater Kruger National Park and the UNESCO proclaimed Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Reserve. This biosphere reserve is the largest of its kind in the world.  Grietjie Game Reserve has just been declared a Protected Area.

Our Facilities:
