    Vlakbult Guest farm was born from a dream of a bride and groom that dreamt of a wedding never experienced before, something uniquely spectacular, a day to be remembered for a lifetime.

     

    With a dream so unique and special and no venue meeting the standards of their dream, they decided to make their own dream come true and transformed the old sandstone cow shed and silo dating back to the late 1800 into a beautiful and unique wedding venue. Now after their marriage they realized that they have to share their fairy-tale with others so in love.

     

    Vlakbult Guest farm is situated between the Rose fields of Highland Essential Oils and the rolling green fields of the Highlands area in the Eastern Free State near Clocolan.

     

    With flat-topped and “spits koppies” and the majestic aroma of nature we can provide you with the best of both worlds – the calm serenity of nature and the refined perfection to detail that you would like on your wedding day.

    The most memorable day in the life of most people is their Wedding Day. Every bride’s dream is a well coordinated, expertly orchestrated bridal function. With the relaxing sound of veld crickets, birds singing in the trees, sheep and cattle grazing in the field and with clear blue skies at day and starry nights in the evenings Vlakbult Guest farm will assist in making your dream come true. To help make your dream come true here is some key point on what we will provide.

     

    The Ceremony:

    Take a walk through the trees to your beloved and say your wedding vows to each other under the shades of the big eucalyptus trees, with only the sound of the wind and birds.

    For those preferring a garden wedding ceremony, they can do so beneath an elegant Gazebo in our beautiful garden.

    You can also do your vows under the trees.

     

    The Venue:

    Stand spellbound by blue skies, horizons that extend forever, rolling hills, sandstone mountains and golden fields in the heart of the country. In this beautiful setting is a venue that can host functions of up to 150 guests.

    The unique ambiance is created by the distinctive rustic feeling of the venue in the 150 year old sandstone milk shed and a cash bar in the sandstone silo with a wine cellar. The decor has been tastefully chosen to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere.

    We can also cater for Children at Vlakbult Guest Farm where the conference room is transformed into a children’s room with a TV, DVD player and also mattresses. DVD’s must be supplied by the guest. The venue can also be booked for other functions and anniversaries.

     

    Cocktails on the grass:

    After your joyous ceremony your guests can enjoy a cocktail, sherries and snacks in the beautiful garden while relaxing around the “konka” fires and enjoying the sunset.
